Similar to the last test but the whole screen moves back and forth together. It seems to be more effective keeping it simple. And the grade helps.

Your tests are nice ! I don't know if I can but do you think it would be possible to have like a couple of times maybe the same videos which each of them reacting to different frequency. I just thought about that watching yours.

Do you mean applying a different soundtrack to the same video and effect?
  • Remyyy plus 2 years ago
Hmm, I'm not cleear when I try to explain, sorry. I thought about something for example like three times the same videos on the same screen, one reacting to low frequency, one to middle, one to high. So you see at the same time the same videos but at different places and speed. I'm not sure it's more clear

I tried something similar when making this video but had to give up. I wanted the position in time to be affected by the bass and the intensity of the light affected by the treble. The glow effect on the light wasn't working for me and I couldn't separate the sound out enough with the software I'm using. It would be useful to have the music broken into its components.

If you want to try or not, I can do it for you, breaking the music. But I'm really just offering. I really appreciate your work.

Dude, That must have been one hell of an editing job!
Am not sure if it can be done in my editor (Edius)

    Keep up the good work.

It's not a big edit. After Effects creates the time displacement from the audio levels. All I had to do is choose where to start and end.

It would take me better part of two months of solid work with my Edius editor to do what you did. There are no AE available for it. It's too bad, because I need to edit music videos and that function is critical.

Hey, thanks for the info :)

    KA~
    very impressive
    Do you like Chris Cunningham?
  • AdamPellinDeeve 1 year ago
Very much so. I'm always impressed by that whole Work Of The Director bunch, Jonze, Gondry, Cunningham, Glazier. Music videos are what first excited me about production possibilities - although I'm now appreciating sound design more and more rather than just concentrating on the pictures.

    You're right.
It's really exciting when I make some balance & harmony between sound and movie.
Although it's not good to be compare,
you are very creative and you got skills to make something you want to make. (than me)
I'm very glad to meet you in VIMEO.

For very big shock by Gondry's Star Guitar MV, I start making video.
I hope we could be good companies. ^^

    Keep shotting!

  • I'm not sure. I think I liked the bubble effect better. Maybe because I saw it first. ??
