The Mayor's Office of Children Youth & Learning presents a glimpse into its pioneering programming geared towards the first two decades of kids' lives. The Cumberland Office of Children Youth and Learning (OCYL) is a municipal department created by Mayor Daniel J. McKee and established by ordinance in February 2007. It is the first of its kind in Rhode Island. Its mission is to help foster a comprehensive learning environment for Cumberland children in the first two decades of their lives while promoting youth civic engagement.
