LIVE AT BEI ROY | 29.04.2012 | Berlin

Andre Vida (b.1974) is a Hungarian American saxophonist, composer and lyricist living in Berlin. Vida has been at the forefront of several major developments in experimental music, including his membership in Anthony Braxton’s original Ghost Trance Ensemble, his recent world record of 403 half hour performances at the Serpentine Gallery responding to Anri Sala's film Long Sorrow...

"For his Ohrengala performance Vida will extend his experiments with physical restriction by integrating a simple touch composition idea in collaboration with Letizia Monae (Dance)."

Recently he presented 'Brud: Volumes I-III' (PAN 20), a three volume compilation of recordings from 1995 to 2011 now available at PAN label, morphing seamlessly between a sense of total irreverence and the sublime.
