Socialist Internationalism and Capitalist Globalization

Why are socialists opposed to globalization? They purport to be internationalists, don't they? So they should be advocates of globalization, shouldn't they?

Philosopher Bob Ware argues that socialists shouldn't be for anti-globalization. They have always thought globally and promoted internationalism. Internationalism is more necessary today and made possible more readily, he says in a talk to be sponsored by the Center for Global Justice titled "Socialist Internationalism and Capitalist Globalization."

Bob Ware is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Calgary and is currently visiting San Miguel. His talk will be at 3:00pm Tuesday April 14 in Sala Quetzal of the Biblioteca Publica.
