Trenton Doyle Hancock, featured in Season One of the Peabody Award-winning PBS series "Art21: Art in the Twenty-First Century," gave an illustrated presentation, "Multimedia for Message," as part of the Ulrich Museum's Buzz-Worthy Art Talk Series on April 12, 2012.

Trenton Doyle Hancock contributes to a strong bent for mythic storytelling in contemporary art. With brash colors, collaged elements, and meticulous drawing, he creates an ongoing narrative about a fictional world rife with moral dilemmas. Hancock raids popular culture, gospel lyrics, and high-art references to hone a hallucinogenic, yet refined, visual language. This strong imagery supports his complex storyline of good and evil and the struggle to discern them in contemporary culture.
