"Bubbles the Alligator"
Filmed with the Canon HV20 at the Robert Marshall Wildlife Preserve in the Florida Everglades. Casual filming, no tripod, etc. I nicknamed this alligator "Bubbles" because he was eating minnows and blowing bubbles (helps them submerge). I don't talk in the video the voices you hear are a couple from out of state, they were about 10 feet behind me but after they left it was just me and the alligator. Turn up your speakers at around 2:05 and you can hear a slight "growl". Keep in mind I grew up near the Everglades and have spent a lot of time near wildlife, I don't recommend getting as close as I did. Enjoy!

2 years ago If you've never seen Robert J. Flaherty's "Louisiana Story" (made in 1948) I recommend it - it's been restored by the Library of Congress and UCLA film school and is available on DVD. BTW: does Florida law allow you to feed talkative tourists to the wildlife? ;-) -
