This is just a test of a video done with the Canon HG10.

    nice video for the first test with HG10!
    but spend some time to figure it out whats the best settings to shot in low light conditions (because if you shot in Auto mode you'll see a lot of noise...)
    my advise is:
    1- do not shot with the camera's light, try to have a light from your house pointed to the object
    2-shot in 24p , 3- down shutter speed to 30 or 15 and up gain level. If the iris setup is separated, then set to F1.6 (iris open).
    4- turn off cinemode (shot in TV mode), this make up contrast and make dark more dark .
    hope it helped for low light situations :)
    do some tests and upload again to see the result :)
    in the next upload do it with 1280x720 so the full screen is more like 16:9...
