Stillwater Cove Ranch has belonged to my family since the late 1920s, housing five generations of Rudy's in the past 90 plus years. Formerly a homestead of 153 acres, it has been pared down to about 50 acres of coastal land in Sonoma County, right off of Highway 1. My great grandparents ran a boys school here from 1932-1963, boarding up to 50 young men at a time. This wild western utopia has been a cornerstone in both their childhoods and my own, captured on 16 mm footage by Paul Passmore Rudy, my great grandfather, and on a 5D MarkII by myself.
I hope you can get a feeling through this mini-doc on how important and precious this parcel of land has been to me and my nearest and dearest.
