This film is a tribute to Charlie Chaplin and Richard Gere.
Even if I only know Richard very badly, I think Bill looks like him. Obviously we prefer Charlie, and Bob is my Charlie.
It is also a tribute to my two daughters who suffer from the same "mirror syndrome" (no... of course not).

The happiness of some is not necessarily the misfortune of others.)

Competition : Internationales Trickfilmfestival (Stuttgart), Anima (Bruxelles), Animafest (Tehran), Anima Mundi (Rio de Janeiro), Media 10/10 (namur), Festival International du Film d'Amiens (Amiens, France), The 6th China International Animation and Digital Arts Festival (Changzhou, China), ANIMA’09 – V Festival Internacional de Animación de Córdoba (Córdoba, Argentina), Le Rayon vert (Bruxelles) : prix du public, Mercado 3D WIRE (Segovia, spain), SALENTO FINIBUS TERRAE 2009 Film Festival Cortometraggio Internazionale (Italia)...

really great. also found this via parallelostory. Did you do the animation in Flash?
  •
  • Nicolas Fong 2 years ago
Well, I've made all the character's animation with flash, and all the rest was made with after fx. I'm glad you like it 'cause I am a little disappointed by colors, they deserve to be better. Color calibration could be better.

I really enjoyed this so much. One of the best animated stories I've seen... great concept, filled with anticipation for what'll happen at the story's climax, so much so that it's impossible to stop watching! So good I'll want to watch it again (and again)! You're quite talented, Nicolas Fong- I give this film the highest rating possible!

As a twin myself - I love this video and concept! great.

Did you make the film in your spare time? was there a budget? did you receive funding?

I really want to do this kind of thing, but I have to work full-time and after work often too tired to use computer anymore....
  • Nicolas Fong 1 year ago
    thank you for your comment,
I didn't have money to make this short film cause it's my thesis work, it's a student movie.
And I understand your feelings, I have the same problem...
  • Graham Cross 1 year ago
well it's amazing animation! so many little movements and effects that look great. the cigarette smoke is also impressive. details like that. me jealous.
