The Murky Side Of Lembeh
Here is an underwater movie about muckdiving at the Lembeh Strait in Indonesia.
Muckdiving is murky, indeed. There are no corals, only black sand, often bad visibility and sometimes there is even garbage around. You sure ask for the risen to dive in such places...the risen are the amazing critters. Once you slow down and take a closer look you´ll see the well camouflaged creatures living in such an inhospitable habitat. This movie features many of them. Like Mimik Oktopus and Wonderpus, hunting Flamboyent Cuttlefish, Crab Eyed Gobi, Velvetfish, a variety of Ghostpipes and Seahorses, Frogfishs, Ambon Scorpionfishs, Stragazer,... and a strange Crab running across the screen for several times. I´ve never seen that one.
Unfortunately no "kings of critters" like the Hairy Frogfish, Rhinopias or the Blue Ring Octopus. (Maybe the next time)
A long movie with 3 tracks by Tabolomegalo, Maya Filipic and Rob Costlow.
I´m looking forward your reviews.

The anglerfish rocked, I STILL have not seen one put its lure out like yours did.
There are black/orange boxfishs too.
At the end of my video (or at the thumbnail)"Macro Muck" you can see one.
No frogfish until now???? You sure will have a great time at Lembeh!!
Alex.
my first message on vimeo. and really deserves it.
