I liked the part where Mike discusses rewards associated with taking risk. I'm not sure if a comparision to casino gambling is appropriate since casinos don't create innovative jobs and big industries. But the comparison with regard to failure is compelling. Nevertheless, even if so many failed ventures do arise, its better to attempt success and learn something than to not do anything and play it safe. People who value technology have obligations; as a society we've invested a lot in science and PhDs. Hopefully they will choose to grow their ideas in an optimisitic, Canadian investment climate.
