DESCRIPTION:

My name is Janeth Salazar-Ohst. I’m a runner and I Believe in the Run.

I am many things to many people... daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend. The run has always been in me. Watch children play and you will see running, you will see joy. The run can grow in us and remain our’s, if we choose to and are able to keep it alive.

From running as a child during play, to competitive racing, to the Olympic Marathon Trials, I have lived and believed in the run. The run has shaped who I am today, in all aspects of my life - from the way I focus my dreams into reality to the belief that real satisfaction comes from long, hard work, dedication and faith.

Today, my fastest times are behind me but I believe in the run more now than ever. It has kept my body strong, my mind clear and my heart alive. It is from my heart that I share with my children and other young runners the Love of the Run.
