Do you use the internal mic or a separate one? I don't hear any tape noise in this video (good thing). What's your setup?

I'm using the internal mic. The camera noise is noticeable most of the time. I'm probably going to get a Rode videomic, but not much need for good audio at the moment.

I have the same adatper from Twoneil.
This video shows exactly what you get from him.
Twoneil answers to email very quickly and the delay is quite good.
If you order in Europe, the shipping can be really expensive.
So don't spend money in a more expensive adatper... This one is pretty good !!

I know practically zero about DOF adapters, but this thing looks great even when the footage was out of focus!!

Was trying to decide between SR12 or HV30, this might sway me...so many HV30s out there that great products like this show up.

May I ask what mode the camera was in for these shots?
Internal mic only? Cam noise has been a big hesitation for me to get the HV30 over SR12 or the like. (NOT interested in external mics). Really nice footage!

I tested four HD cams before I bought My HV20. The HV20 and HV30 are pretty much the same camera. Minor tweaks. None compared to the video quality of the HV20/30. Don't waist your time and money on any other camera. You will only get better results from pro cams. The HV20/30 is the closest thing to a procam out there. Look at all the vids shot with the hv 20/30.

i heard that the image is flipped on the LCD screen. what do you do to compensate for that? or do you just shoot stuff upside down
