Marinao Conde has just finished this new Conde EF 5 negra. The top is made from first grade, perfectly quarter-sawn, old aged German spruce loaded with the essential cross silk grain patterns enabling the top to project a nice, wooden true flamenco sound. Mariano Conde is one of the last Spanish luthiers from the famous Conde Hermanos dynasty, founded by Domingo Esteso in 1915 at the famous address of Gravina 7 in Madrid. Famous Flamenco guitarists such as Paco de Lucia, Manolo de Huelva, Nino Ricardo, Sabicas, Esteban de Sanlucar, Oscar Herrero, Jose Manuel Canizares, Rafael Riqueni, Enrique de Melchor and other style guitarists such as Al Di Meola, Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, John Williams, Lenny Kravitz, David Byrne, Toninho Horta... have played or still play the worldwide known guitars of Conde Hermanos. Since the summer of 2010 Mariano Conde opened his new workshop in Madrid dedicating all his time and effort to artisan flamenco guitar making.
