This excerpt is from the end of Scene 7 in my play "Les années amputées" -- or "The Amputated Years" -- from the world premiere in Québec City during November 2007. The translation is by the play's director Jean-Philippe Joubert, directeur artistique of the Québec theatre company -- Les Nuages en pantalon. The play is presented as a work of installation art within a private home in Old Québec City. The two actors featured in this clip are Andreanne Joubert and Olivier Normand; however their dialogue is spoken by two actors off-stage -- Paule Savard and Roland Lepage, respectively. The play depicts a man and a woman locked in a cyclical progression of eleven scenes. In this clip the Man and the Woman are remembering their own fondest memories of the other -- before they ever entered their current condition.
