First thing I noticed is that the sharpness levels are higher on the HF S100. So I took framegrabs and added unsharp mask filter to the HF100. The framegrabs in that case are virtually identical.
I couldn't find a location with more detail on the HF-S100. So it's rather sharpness not resolution which can be adjusted in cam.
