A bird's falling feathers cause a chain of destructive events. Paper puppet animation, filmed with a $200 Flip Mino HD usb camera. There's a write-up on how I made The Land Eaters with the Flip Mino HD here: brandonray.net/landeaters/flip.html

Watercolor paintings by Lisa Ray.

The Land Eaters was featured on episode #182 of Channel Frederator:

It would have been quite a bit easier to just cook it all in AE, but I'm hoping the workflow produced a unique look. And most importantly, it was a lot of fun working this way.

    Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks for the comments in my vimeo. I like this animations using paper. I want to do something with paper someday. And this animation is kind of frightening. The sounds, the images shaking a little bit..And that time which human hands interact with it....very good!

Brandon just gave an interview about construction-paper stop-motion at thenewfilmmaker.com/ So have a look if you are looking for some good advice, related to animation. I guess it´s hard for beginners, but he made an very interesting tutorial and that shows how to to do it in After Effects.
