Using facial recognition software, Hit Counter narcissistically counts the number of people who have viewed it, and displays that number as the artwork.

It is a throwback to the early days of the internet when hit counters were proudly displayed as signs of social status, re-contextualized into the gallery environment.

    that's pretty cool tech. for this implementation im pretty happy with what I used, but having access to something like that would be pretty wild

    They're not all that. The eyeball part of it is really shaky. It's just creepy how they sell it. Pay per click in real-life.

    haha i totally missed that, but yeah it is a bit creepy. people will monetize anything, but hey, at least it gives artists more things to react to

    also, sick sequencer. im psyched to see what you do with sound for this ofxiphone deal :)
