Cascade Heights is a K-8 charter school in the North Clackamas school district. Although it is a public school, they have to give back a percentage of every dollar to the school district as part of their charter contract. So, they start off with a smaller per-student budget than other public schools. They make up for this with passionate teachers willing to be paid less and dozens of volunteer parents who do everything from help teachers grade assignments, to daily janitorial duties. The school also has a big fundraiser every spring - the only fundraiser they hold. This video was part of the appeal presentation and was bookended by live speakers.
