See all Show me
oh. my. goodness. I was so delighted to come back to retrieve my bike from Diva Bootcamp after the White Procession and find my two favorite mouthymusicmakers on stage together!

I threw this together cuz I thought y'all would like to see it... my friend said that it was a really good example of what Burning Man is REALLY like- as in, not the glamorized, shiny version but the down and dirty, super funky, special moments that you just stumble upon that make being on the playa so tangibly magickal.

I know its a bit shaky, but c'mon- it was sunrise and I hadn't slept in 36 hours and I was handholding my teeny little HV-20 while a guy in a Unicorn suit who claimed he worked for sony was trying to shove glasses on my face and over my lens. All whilst in the middle of the desert surrounded by a bunch of freaks! So give me a little credit here...

I think I got the audio sych issue taken care of- it is either frame reordering (off) or deinterlacing before export. =)

Enjoy!

Which method did you use exactly? Did you use the first one here? eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/12/08/exporting-with-quicktime-in-720p/

I used the one on the HD help page here on vimeo. So far it has been a chronic issue except with one video of mine. I think it may be the deinterlace on export. I deinterlaced before export and the problem disappeared. I also unchecked the "frame reordering" box. What is frame reordering, exactly?

*sigh* ahhh the crazy joys and frustrations of compression. When I first started working with the HV20 I would forget to resize my exports to 16:9 and I would wake up in the morning with a squashed mess and have to start all over. =)

nice video! i think the out of sync audio works in the context of this video and your editing and slow motion shots. the closeups maybe need to be in sync but it's fine when it's a wide shot and you're dissolving in and out. triiiiiiiiiiiiiiipy. :)
