Jan, 2008. A Bucks County, Pa. lawyer who worked for the Bucks County district attorney and state attorney general's office's was charged with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and other charges related to the April 26, 2007, death of his girlfriend, Heather Demou in a Newtown Township restaurant parking lot. Heather Demou, 34, was the mother of two teenage children and a real estate agent from Doylestown.
Ultimately, a jury of 11 men and one woman found Patton not guilty of vehicular homicide, vehicular homicide while driving under the influence, and involuntary manslaughter. The jury did convict him on lesser charges of recklessly endangering another person and driving under the influence. I shot and editied this for the Phila. Inquirer.
