Changing Landscapes is a short documentary that examines the relationship between the political and the personal, by exploring a variety of stories that relate to the current changes in Britain and London, in particular the economic crisis and the regeneration of the Stratford area prior to the Olympic games 2012. The central case study involves the stories of the people from Stratford. In the form of interviews, and by following them into their personal and local environments, we learn how their lives are directly affected by the changes. Evidence of the destruction and rebuilding of their familiar areas supports the impressions of trauma, hopes and dreams, disappointments and improvements that shape the lives of these people at this moment in time, where global economic crisis threatens businesses, individuals and their households. The film shows how all these stories intersect, by letting the people tell the stories collectively, and by framing the places, which have seen significant changes.
