The Hiawatha Light Rail line is more than just a way to get from Point A to Point B; it's a mini-adventure in itself. While it's certainly not the NYC Subway, Paris Metro, or London Underground, it is still a mass transit experience where you can rub shoulders with people from all over the world and across the whole spectrum of Minneapolis.

At the train stations along the way there are several little video installations, operating by turning cranks and levers. These "Small Kindnesses" offer up quirky insights into Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Minnesota culture and character. Sadly, many of the working parts on these (like windshield wipers that run along with the video) have fallen into disrepair.
