California Trip 2008 Photo Montage
Ok, here's the deal: sometimes you just have to go to California with a Nikon D60 and see what happens. Other times, you just have to decide to compile all of that footage into a short musical montage. This short compilation is the direct result of those two impulses hitting me right about this time last year, and then yesterday, consecutively. Scenes feature San Diego (cliffs, waves, ben making coffee); Los Angeles (venice beach, driving, aaron's house); and Berkeley (rach and ray goofing around). The music is a trio of mine from several years ago playing "It Had To Be You", an old-timey jazz standard.

8 months ago Oh Thanks! I shot it all as still frames on a nikon d60, mostly using the rapid shutter release, which is why it looks kind of like jagged film (i think it takes something like 4 frames a second if you hold the button). Then I sequenced different frame groups in after effects and color corrected them a bit and toyed around with different looks, added music, and whala! -
Ana Marjanovic-Shane 4 months agoA great movie! Very expressionistic. It is like a mood photo album -- but better
