The film shows what it is like to experience a year at the bottom of the planet, through the eyes of the everyday workers who are there to keep the stations running on the harshest continent. Most film crews that visit Antarctica are only there for a few short months over the summer season. Footage for this film has been meticulously gathered for the last 10 years, including 9 winter-overs, isolated from the rest of the world for 6 months at a time.
