Some Xmas light footage from Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield and Hebden Bridge in night and twilight conditions using the HV20 'auto' settings, apart from the station platform scene.

harry ramsden 8 months agoI found in some of the later footage that using manual focus, setting it to infinty, and locking the shutter speed to 1/25 or 1/50 gave better results on some shots. The AF needs lit detail in the picture to work effectively, hunts on some types of decorative lighting, and on auto the shutter speed can go down to 1/12 which doen't look good at 25p especially when it auto-switches to 1/25 mid pan.
