This is an animationmovie I did 2008 for the german TV channel 3sat to the topic "death and dying".
I filmed the actors in front of a blue screen with a Panasonic HVX200 and did the rest in post.
I used Trapcode Particular for the title and for the start and ending of the dream-sequences and watercolors for the backgrounds.
The music is from General Zombie ( myspace.com/generalzombie )
For making-of-pictures visit schwarzgrau.com

no, it doesn't really matter how it is executed, just great work!

and the story, is very, very sensible, feels like a featherweight on a hard theme like death.

I love the story and the concoction of styles. :)
How did you do the "weird" looking arms and legs. Are those deformed frame by frame from the original footage or are they drawn over?
I motion tracked the original legs and cut them off. Then I replaced them with this weird legs. And the arms hmmm, I didn't changed somethin on the arms.
But I distorted the faces.
At sec 39 the mother´s arm looks kind of "too slim and long"... at least to me, maybe I´m just imagining things.
The faces look great. And I like a lot the girl´s black tears.
