M'aidez or "Help Me" in French is the origin of the "Mayday" distress call that pilots use.
This short was originally envisioned as a larger story. The finished project here acts a teaser for the rest of the piece. The narrative continues after this to show what happens to this stranded astronaut as his food, water, and mind begin to dwindle. Perhaps in the future I will be able to tell the whole story in some form or another, but for now this is what I have.
I created the figure with found objects, kit parts, LED lights, hand sewn fabrics, Sculpey, and acrylic paint. You can see more "making of" information at my blog:

The stills were shot with a Nikon D3100. I did the post production using Adobe After Effects and the final editing in Adobe Premiere.
