In March 2009, at Love, Light and Melody's third "dia de luz", artists Austin Blasingame & Patrick Maxcy painted a 40 foot mural at the entrance to La Chureca, the trash dump community in Managua, Nicaragua. It was their way to use their gift of art to honor the men & women who work countless hours in the trash looking for things to fix, repair, & recycle to provide for their families.
