This video was created for Imagine RIT, an annual festival at Rochester Institute of Technology focused on creativity and innovation of its students, faculty, and staff. It was created by myself and two coworkers.
** The next Imagine RIT festival is May 1, 2010. Hope to see you there! **
The cardboard man at the beginning who kicks the first domino is RIT President Bill Destler, who started the annual festival at RIT in 2008.
Inspiration for the video came from some of my favorite videos including the Sony Bravia balls, paint, and rabbits commercials; the Honda cog commercial; the Guinness 'Tipping Point' commercial; and all of FlippyCat's domino videos on YouTube.
Special thanks to everyone in RIT University Publications who helped with setup and cleanup.

The production was done in three sections: my office, hallway 1, and printer hallway. We set up those three sections entirely for the main pan shots that are at the beginning. In the end though, we shot in sections.
We knocked over the entire first section and tried following it with a camera, but it got to be too much motion in the frame. That's when we decided to lock the camera down and have the dominoes enter and leave the view. Definitely worked better that way.

Initially it was planned to try to go up onto the printer and have it hit the copy button, but it got too complicated to try to figure out, so I figured "Let's just hit the side of the printer." :)
What a great place to work at... where the only thing that makes contact with work equipment is plastic dominos! lol
