Never before has anything been seen like this. Makes me wish for larger in-home movie screens. I'm going to see it again and again. Thank you UVA and Director Paul Yates.

    Very good job Paul Yates!
I'm really impressed. Got a couple of ideas of how you did it, but I will keep them to myself...
How have you been? What did you do this for?
  • paul yates 2 years ago
I made it for a band / friends of mine.
All effects are in camera. Still camera and 16mm bolex and pixel vision. Nothing else NO computer assist--except for editing. NO COMPUTER EFFECTS except the transition from the first shot to the timelapse.

    Paul,
Truly awesome! I love the song, too. What was the band's response when they saw it? Did they tell you what they wanted or did they give you complete freedom in your interpretation and perception?
What meaning does it convey to you?
Sorry about the questions- just curious.
A return to basics- and there is something so much more real in it's feeling and depth to me. Like the difference between Jason and the Argonauts for example and all the computerized stuff we see today. I always feel that something is missing in the new stuff.
    so cool...
    so proud...
    as always
