Once in a while we're asked to do the extraordinary; produce a full blown advertising campaign for a huge brand in two countries for mobile and Facebook with a "live" element. Wow, that's a mouthful. We just did it and we're really happy with the outcome. Achtung came up with Volkswagen Das Interland, an addictive casual game where Holland and Germany get to live out their old time rivalry in football through a penalty shoot out. You will be matched with real Germans and Dutchmen in an effort to beat the other country before the match of all matches will be played at the European Football Championship: Holland vs Germany. High flying emotions guaranteed. Beat the Germans before we meet the Germans (and vice versa) sums it all up! The winning country has a chance to win a Volkswagen Up in their nation's colors.
Superhero Cheesecake is responsible for the interaction design, animation and production of the mobile app and the Facebook app. The mobile app has been built using Adobe Air which made it possible to release the application for Android, iOS and Flash for the desktop version in one go. The game uses a socket server to allow a lot of live concurrent connections making sure everyone has a smooth gaming experience and waiting queues are limited to an absolute minimum.
