The quality of the video is awesome especially in daylight. Did you took the video using Flip mino HD? did you like the flip mino HD? i am thinking of getting one also. Not sure if i get this or Canon ixus 100 which can also take HD video. The video looks a bit jerking in the sunlight but not sure if its normal.

The video was taken with the Flip Mino HD. I really like the Flip because it's very easy to use but you're right, it is choppy when you move around, even in the best lighting conditions.

thanks for your reply. I taught that flip only saves as mp4 right? but your download is in .mov. I will be using imovie, idvd and final cut express and will they be compatible? is 1 hr video sufficient or should i get the flip ultra HD which can take 2 hr but i prefer Mino coz its small and slimmer. I am thinking of creative vado also. please advice me?

The Flip saves movies as .mp4 and I used iMovie to edit this video and iMovie exported it as .mov. It should work fine with Final Cut Express as well but I have never tried.

Last but not least, after you export to .mov, the original quality is intact right? thanks bro

I'm sure it loses some quality each time you encode it but I think it still looks pretty good. I'm no expert when it comes to anything video....

Yo dude, im thinking of getting one but i have a question.
Does this seem jerky because of the camera or because you filmed this handheld. Like if i use a tripod, and roll it with a skateboard for example, will it look good? Thanks.

You want to put it on a tripod on a skateboard and roll it around filming things? I have a cheap little tripod and a skateboard, I will try it out for you in the next few days and post it up so you can see if it's any good.

There's no stabilization built in so it's super jerky just walking around etc but when I set it on the dashboard of my car while driving it's smooth.

Hi folks I own the "Mino Ultra HD 8GB" version, and its got a perfect weight to it, (2 inch LCD) after a while once you get used to it you can learn to use your hand and wrist as a shock obsorber... Most of my videos are no long choppy, only in very low light, but still usable after edit. The Mino is the iPhone of camcorders, becauuse its simple, reliable, superb quality and intuative. 5 Stars.

Every HD Camcorder is jumpy or choppy, cause of the 720p is so sharp it picks up everything.... ALL "HD" CAMS HAVE THIS ISSUE... not just the mino, So once you learn to take vids with a relaxed hand & wrist.... the choppyness is barley seen. No sudden movements and learn slow turning, helps a great deal. Most owners are aware of this anyways.

if the Mino HD had a port for an external Mic, it would be king... I guess it will happen within the next 2 years or so.
