Please check out Grant's father's 8mm video of the Queen 50 years back vimeo.com/43237351 definitely was a source of inspiration in making this film. So please take a seat and share with me, a moment with the Queen, captured using my monopod, GH2 and a 300mm lens holding it 2 metres in the air in Waterloo, not easy balancing it and keeping the image stable, hence the leaves. With over a million people lining the River Thames for the Diamond Jubilee finding a good vantage point was difficult, it also rained pretty heavy towards the end but it was all fun and great to share time with the family. Ahh yes Katie Middleton did blow a kiss to us. My son's version of the day vimeo.com/43384226

I also used an iPhone 4S and HD GoPro 2 both with the Steadicam Smoothee. The 300mm panasonic lens for the GH2 is amazing and has an image stabilisation function built in. Music by the Beatles - 'Love Me do', Queen - 'Who Wants to Live Forever' and The Bands of British Army Collection - 'National Anthem'. A big happy diamond Jubilee Maam, may there be many more to come:)
