"Under the Sea" promotes awareness of the effects of global warming on bodies of water on Earth. Using hand-tracking visitors can directly interact with the underwater world in an attempt to reverse the effects of global warming - a metaphor for awareness and interaction being required to help stop/slow global warming in reality. Interaction included lowering rising sea levels, reversing the melting of glaciers, scaring away flocking fish and birds, and "swishing away" greenhouse gas bubbles.
Special thanks to the Ottawa International Children's Festival for having us, and Montreal Cinematographers Keith Pattington and Sergeo Kirby for footage of our installation to use in this video.
