In 1080p it's 20fps while in 720p it's 30fps. I never really could figure out why Canon made it like that.

I'm looking into getting this camera. Have you found the 20 fps to be a problem? Yeah, I wish they offered the 24 or 30 fps at full 1080p! It is my only hang-up

Im guessing that its because they couldn't get the shutter motor or something to shoot that fast and be HD. Where as the 5D can do it all. Thats my guess, So either your suck with 800 bucks with what you have or 2,500 for everything, then like me I have the 40D which cant shoot video at all..doooh

hm.. i gues you shot in 720p better and get it in editing to 25p...
