A sign that the U.S. economy is stabilizing might be the steady increase in air travel as means of transportation. A survey by conducted by TravelHorizons states:
“Based on 241 million U.S. adults 18 years of age and over, an estimated 154 million U.S. adults expect to take at least one leisure trip between now (April) and October, the highest April level of potential domestic travelers on record taking into account growth in the number of U.S. adults.”
U.S. Travel Association goes on to say that most Americans are opting for traveling domestically within the United States.
This is a positive outlook for the local economy in Orlando. Orlando International Airport is the second busiest airport in Florida and the 13th busiest airport in the United States.
Even though several steps, from paying for baggage, checking in, going through security and waiting in lines, does not make air the easiest way to travel, it is still the secondary means of transportation used by travelers as well as the safest according to U.S. Travel Association.
