I’m not sure how many of you have had the opportunity to visit our Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary which is where the pastors of our Synod receive their theological training. It sits on a beautiful 80-acre site in the city of Mequon, about 15 miles north of downtown Milwaukee. The central seminary building complex resembles the architecture of the Wartburg, where Martin Luther translated the New Testament Scriptures into German. The tower divides the complex into two parts: The residential and dining halls to the west, and the offices, classrooms, library and chapel to the east. One interesting feature of the chapel is the Greek phrase, “ !” that appears on a wall. In English it means: “Preach the Gospel!” or “Proclaim the good news!”
