10. White-Stallings Wedding, Norris, TN
Between four and eight times per year, on average, I get asked to shoot a wedding for someone. I look forward to the break from my sports and advertising work to be able to concentrate my experience and skill onto a couple as they prepare to enter into a solemn promise with God in marriage. I spend a lot of time with the bride, usually from the morning until when they leave their reception. I get to know the bridal party and become part of the family, even if only for a day. There is a big difference between a wedding photographer that shoots in a photojournalistic style, and a photojournalist who shoots weddings. I am the latter, 100%. When you take a skill set that is seasoned with Sports Illustrated, Time, Newsweek, and People Magazine assignments, and you turn the camera to a wedding, all of the ordinary moments are suddenly extraordinary, and the most awesome moments are there to capture as well.
