This was by request - Partok81 asked: "Why doesn't any multicopter pilots put pan/tilt camera heads on their ships? Too much weight?? "
I did a quick and cheap pan/tilt mount for my FPV cam (downlink cam) and after my headtracker didn't work I just used some sliders on my radio to look around.
It's quite disorienting to look sideways, maybe being able to look up/down could help in some situations. But my conclusion is: pan/tilt on a multicopter isn't neccessary. Maybe a good cam mount for filming is a different story (we see this on leifs great okto shots).
The other thing tested here were my 2.4ghz cloverleave/SPW Antenna combo.
It worked good for the first few seconds - then ugly lines came (later I found that a solder point got loose at 1:19 - that was the reason for bad range and quality).
Today I tested the CL Antenna again (I fixed it before) and was amazed by quality and range of the signal!
