Traditional psychology is based upon the medical model, which is disease-based and problem-oriented. The goal is to restore people to function. Spiritual Psychology is based upon awakening into the awareness that we are Divine Beings having a human experience. It assists people in finding their own answers to life’s essential questions: Who am I? What is my purpose? How can I make a more meaningful contribution in my world? The irony is, that while engaging in applying the Principles and Practices of Spiritual Psychology, people’s disturbances and symptoms often dissolve.
