Multi-stakeholder partnering seems to be the ’new mantra’ of policy-makers around the globe. Yet our understanding of what drives success and failure in these institutions remains incomplete. The book „Building Successful Partnerships“ introduces a production theory of multi-stakeholder partnering which describes how the partners‘ contributions translate into outcomes, and suggests how technology, leadership and governance should be aligned to make partnerships work. This clip will present some key concepts and ideas of the book, and illustrated these with an inspiring success story: the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX)
