This is so real. I' living this life right now. Though I don't get the confessions of other women. I don't work and am dependent, Deb I truly understand your plight.
I, too, am in school in order establish independence. It's hard and it get down right grimey in my house sometimes but, "am so glad trouble don't last always". Focus on establishing a better relationship with God, then loving and nuturing the kids. I believe that everything will turn out just fine. It helps to have people around who will pray for you, and mean it.
