Kathleen Egan, a resident of Ocean Beach, San Francisco, and a surfer and environmentalist, has been making artwork out of plastic she has found on the beach for over a year. In this video she showcases her most recent and ambitious project, called "The Plastic Wave."

The video was put together by Mark Lukach, and is part of a submission for "The Plastic Wave" to be included in the SMART Art Trash Into Treasure Competition for 2009.
