We first met Simona Francese at TEDxSheffield 2011 where she was a sleeper hit. Simona’s work is all about using chemical tech to squeeze information out of a simple fingermark. She’s helping one of the oldest technologies in ‘CSI science’ become new again.
Simona joined Sheffield Hallam University in 2008 where she leads the BMRC Fingermark Research Group who are creating technologies to provide police forces with intelligence information from fingermarks including a person's diet, contact with drugs, gender, etc.
