I hate to know anything about it... but it's a big thing these days to try to exercise on unstable platforms, because it's so hard to balance while doing so... strengthens your "core" muscles? I think this is one of those unstable platforms. Try doing some sit-ups while on it... I'm still just guessing, but I'm afraid I'm on track. Only $299?!
