I had to be more specific, ...ultra HD (color plus sound).

Let me add the following comment, the flip products in terms of color, they have something of a filmic quality (dynamic range, tone). Also the sound of the newest ultra hd is better in sense of level and sensitivity. And last but not least (the most important i think, in all those compact cameras vado, flip, kodak, aiptek), is the design of the sensors, which shows some serious and honest improvements in quality, sensitivity, noise handling (for instance the sensor of flip is 1/ 4.5 versus a canon 1/2.6, even with full gain you can not get the light capabilities of those compact cameras, which is a pity, not to say mockery from the top manufacturers, with this distance in price).
The first time i saw, a lowlight footages with some of those flash cameras i was really shocked (i have an outdated sony hc-3).

I hope for some serious improvements in image quality, like the sony fx-1000, and maybe a crazy project of a xl-h2 with the sensor of a 5d mark2.

With the mass information and financial crisis, we the customers, now what we want, ...dear top/ renowned manufacturers, so show some honest technology improvements, and please stop the shower of meaningless products, in sense of converged and accumulated philosophy and environmental concern.
