One of the topics in the Poverty and Economic Development class on the Short Term 2012 voyage has been ecotourism as a way for a country to both boost its economic outlook and improve internally. For their field lab, students went to see an example of effective ecotourism: Tortugero National Park in Limon, Costa Rica. Watch as College of Charleston student Alexis Scott takes us through the park and teaches us how ecotourism has helped Costa Rica.
