I’m a social anthropology Ph.D. student at the University of Edinburgh. My fieldwork took place in Glasgow, where I spent 18 months following the music practices of a network of individuals broadly defined as the local DIY (‘do-it-yourself’) music community. This video is a Pecha Kucha presentation (20 slides x 20’’ each) that briefly outlines two of these practices, which are relevant to live music promotion and performance.
