We always do this; drop a teaser video the day after a contest with all the bangers, and then a couple days later we drop the longer edit. Why? Because we have to go through hours of footage to find all the clips. Sam Erickson, Antonyo "Warhol" Wothe, and Kris Sundet brought us the first Midwest Mayhem three years ago in Milwaukee Wisconsin; it was the first real FGFS event...EVER. It has continued every year since; and the concept embodies the essence of the FGFS sub culture. Open a skatepark in the middle of the night and throw an underground contest that lasts until the earlier hours of the morning. Not for mass media coverage, not for fame, but just so the elite can battle it out for the top slot. While the rest of the world is sleeping these riders are putting it all on the line for nothing more than credibility. We were psyched to be apart of the event this year, and for years to come.

Midwest Mayhem always seems to give us a sneak preview into the future of FGFS. We witness tricks that have never been filmed before, from riders who have held those tricks in the shadows until dropping them at the contest. If your going to drop a new trick Midwest Mayhem is the platform to do it. Josh Boothby took home the win, showcasing his signature backflip, and slow roatation 360, which rumor has it might earn him a Red Bull sponsorship. Antonyo "Warhol" Wothe took home second, and inadvertently acquired a nickname thanks to a slip on of teaser video from Boothby. Matt Spencer of WolfDrawn and random twitter tweets, came in third; he is one of the rawest fucking riders we have ever seen. Mike Dinh put it down out there on the course, and tied for third with Spencer .Torey Thornton lead the night in progressive tricks including an amazing uprail. Their are riders that stick to the technical tricks and win contests and the GNAR riders that drop shit you have never seen. Torey and Antonyo fall into this GNAR category and from both Midwest Mayhem 3 edits we dropped you can see why.

Big thanks goes out to the entire fixed gear community for helping share this video and promote Midwest Mayhem. Thanks and respect from us here at #fixiefamous to Sam, Kris, and Antonyo for helping pave the way for this shit to grow. Also good looks to our sponsors for this edit skylmt.com, and holdfastordie.com. Colby and Tyler are doing big things, and Rob and Jeremiah are legends in the industry, mad respect.
